Training the Surviving 2 Venezuelan Contestants as They Prepare to Sing English/Nigerian Songs

Guess who got through the bilingual stage? It's your favourite Venezuelans, @lunasilver and @deutron. These two have refused to remain evicted in this show. Their bond is like 5 and 6. But this is actually going to be a difficult stage for everyone. We all will need to fight like our lives depend on it.

And I won't be shocked if both of them survive this stage because they are just too good. Now there's a challenge placed which this stage came with. One of them would be singing Yoruba/English and the other would be singing Pidgin/English. How mad can that be? It's crazy, right?

Singing a song in a different language is very difficult if one is to place a bet. You'll need to pass through a series of learning, struggling to get it right and all that.

At some point, most of the contestants doubted they would survive this stage. I want this thought to be eliminated from you because you all will win. You all can do it. You'll have the best support you can ever have, as I'll make all of you visible or popular before the main show.

So I've decided to teach all my contestants their own song if they find it difficult to do so. It would be basically on a virtual note, and I've trained about 2 already, leaving 8.

Training Lunasilver

@lunasilver is a determined woman. I saw this quality in her during this show. If she wants to do something, she does so with all her might. Just imagine how energetic that could be. She'll be singing a Nigerian song by Teni called Uyo Meyo. This song has lots of moral lessons for one to ponder on if you check out the meaning of the song. Let's see the lyrics and a little creativity she can put in this show.

Lyrics

Mo sh'oriire l'aiye mi o eh mo sh'oriire eeeh
Mo she rere n'aiye ah mo she rere

This is the lyrics of the song combined and below are the areas she can work on to make the ding interactive and engaging as the song is a hype song. So she needs to keep her viewers on a hype level. That's the only way she can be saved from this stage irrespective of language barrier.

  • This is where I said she should work on to give first impression. She'll start low and make it lively. She can also use gestures in her performance to make it lively. If you check the video, there are some other creativities I said she can input as well.
  • She needs to make the song a hype song. During our training session, I'll help her see why the song is an energetic one.

  • She can wear a casual wear and a scarf to to portray the artist instead of wearing a formal dress. This can add life to her performance. The artiste in question dresses like this. But it's not compulsory.....

  • It's not mandatory to sing all the lyrics. This is the grace she has as the Yoruba language at the bridge may give her a tough time.
  • Singing with emotions is very necessary. You're not just sitting down. Sit down with life if you're sitting to sing. If you're standing, act like you're on stage and people want your hype song.
  • She can can use beautiful covers like this one to sing. She can remove the vocals and use the instrumental in this one. 👇🏽👇🏽
Training deutron

@deuteon selected a pidgin English song with the title How are you my friend?. He said the song connects to him and he loves the rhythm. The song isn't difficult. It's just that he needs to vary his volume and pitch and make the song a low but vibe song. This is the lyrics of the song. The song us quite fast, sung by Johnny drille.

I know sometimes e be like say nobody send you
That one na lie, I dey for you, my friend
Padi no vex for me
Say I never call you since
But I hope that you are well
I hope your market sell
Every day, I dey pray for you
Make Baba God bless you
I never forget you
How I go forget you?
See my shoulder, make you rest upon me
You know I got you, na me be your friend indeed
The money don show now, I don keep some for you
You no go suffer rara
'Cause anything I get na for me and you, yeah
How are you, my friend?
How do you do, my friend?
I know sometimes e be like say nobody send you
That one na lie, I dey for you my friend
How are you, my friend?
How do you do, my friend?
I know sometimes e be like say nobody send you
That one na lie, I dey for you my friend
Ọ'rẹ' mí àtàtà
You always dey my mind
Padi mí gan, gan, gan
I cherish you with my life
No worry yourself o
Everything go dey alright
And if anybody try you
You know it's gon' be on sight
See my shoulder, make you rest upon me
You know I got you, na me be your friend indeed
Omo, the money don show now, I don keep some for you
You no go suffer, rara
'Cause anything I get na for me and you, yeah
How are you, my friend? (I see you, my brother)
How do you do, my friend? (I see you, my sister)
I know sometimes e be like say nobody send you
That one na lie, I dey for you my friend (my friend, it's been so long)
How are you, my friend? (It's been so long)
How do you do, my friend?
I know sometimes e be like say nobody send you
That one na lie (no be lie o), I dey for you my friend
I know sometimes e be like say nobody send you
That one na lie, I dey for you my friend
I know that I don't call enough
But you are always on my mind, oh
I dey for you my friend

From the video, I deducted a few things.

  • Using gestures attracts people to yourself and to your voice. Your outfit can be like his, casual with a shade.

  • Adding creativity to his song in the aspect of adding riffs can make the song unique

  • He doesn't have the song to the end except he choose to.

  • He's to make his performance as if he's talking to someone. You can feature your friend in the song. As he or she sits beside you, he or she won't sing or be part of the singing. All the emotions and gestures can be portrayed to him or her, telling us this is your friend. I don't know if you get that part? Let it be as if you're talking to someone as the song itself is a conversation.

With these guides, I think you guys should be qualifiers of stage 6. Congratulations in advance.

Thank you ma. I want to see how shocked I'll be in this stage. I may shed tears 😁😁😁. 5 contestants would be evicted..

What a wonderful initiative! Training contestants from Venezuela to perform Nigerian songs is such a cultural exchange worth celebrating. Their passion really shows, and I’m sure the final performance will be something special. Wishing them great success ahead!
