Hello everyone, I hope we are all doing okay. One way to enjoy life is also by listening to good music. I would love to talk about a song I love listening to and also how it has shaped and affected my life.

Tell us about one song you've listened to this year that's the best to you. Tell us about the artist and nature of the song. (You can drop the lyrics.)

One of the songs that I have listened to this year and is best for me is Happy by NF. NF is an abbreviation for Nathan John Feuerstein (his official name). He is a singer, rapper, and songwriter known for emotional, introspective lyrics covering mental health, trauma, and faith.
For this particular song, I love it so much because it explores the struggle of dealing with loneliness, trauma, and pain. I would love to share some of the lyrics of the song and explain its impact.

Dear God, please, hear me out. I know it's been a couple years
Since I've reached out and said hello, I bet You're wondering
Why I keep Obsessing on and stressing all the little things
When I should be Living life and soaking up the memories
I know I've been selfish; I have No excuse to give you. it's true
Hanging by a thread's how I live. I don't know why, but I feel more comfortable.

In these opening lyrics, NF talks about running from addressing his issues even if it gets him trapped in the head.

Another interesting part in the song is the chorus

Living in my agony, watching my self-esteem
Go up in flames, acting like I don't
Care what anyone else thinks, when I know truthfully
That that's the furthest thing from how I
Feel, but I'm too proud to open up and ask ya
To pick me up and pull me out this hole I'm trapped in
The truth is, I need help, but I just can't imagine who
Who I'd be if I was happy

In this chorus, NF talks about not wanting to change his way of life because he's gotten too comfortable living in his agony. He even goes on to say he cannot imagine who he will be if he is happy. This part shows how difficult it is for us to accept change in our lives.

Do you like putting songs on repeat, or will you allow it to play everything in your album? Give reasons

I love putting the song on repeat mostly when I want to start my day
My first reason for this is because it begins with God. Having a close conversation with God is always the best way to start one's day. And then it also talks about my personality, because I am also someone that loves keeping trouble, pain, and anxiety inside.
Lastly, NF sings and raps with clean lyrics, unlike many artists today who use vulgar or offensive words in their lyrics.

I cannot survive without music for 3 months, let alone a day. Music is a very essential part of my life.
I listen to music when I wash, cook, clean, eat, and even when I stroll. I also play music to help me stay calm and sleep.
Music shapes me everyday and helps me build new personalities.

"Music doesn't lie; if there is something to change in the world, it can only happen through music."
