Summary Report | SLC S28 Week-1 | Zany and the tiny colored dragon

Hello, my dear fellow Steemians,

I welcome you to weekly report of the Steemit Challenge Season 28 - Week 1". This was first week of the challenge, and as expected, I received enough posts with participants coming from different countries however much mistakes compared my previous contest.8

This week's prompt was a creative story "Zany and the tiny colored dragon" that had a wide scope of real world experience as well as use of imagination and fiction and most user did that successfully.

We received a total 55 entries, and barring 2 all of them were valid. As expected, most participants used various forms for getting the ideas for their stories including AI, but they came clean on our analytic assessment/tools.

I did my best efforts checking the posts based on the set criteria of content, story, originality, formatting, presentation, uniqueness, and, of course, our observation. It was not easy, but I selected top 6 winners purely based on points obtained.

We have 3 clear winners but 6 contestants at 9.6 each so I used the Winning Wheel to select the remaining 3

I Know no one likes this wheel for selection but unfortunately I had only 3 slots left so I had no choice as all 6 at 9.6 points were equally good.

The dragon fluttered its wings and gently tugged on her sleeve. Zany understood that it wanted her follow. So she took a deep breath and stepped forward. The dragon floated beside her, leaving a trail of sparkling colours in the mist.

The dragons changed into a red-orange like colored, one that’s she familiar with; courage. The dragon danced in front of her flapping the wings so fast leaving streaks of light sparking in the air. It touched her forehead with its tail and a beautiful memory blossom in her mind.

She held the dragon close and asked, "Hey, where are you from?" The dragon could not talk, but when Zany spoke, it spread its wings and glowed brightly. She laughed when she saw the joy around her and noticed the sadness around them started to disappear.

Zany found her courage and came out from hiding, going toward the puddle to look for the dragon. Just then, with a soft sound, the dragon flew down from above, its wings shining with color. Zany started to smile.
