Hello, my dear fellow Steemians,

I welcome you to weekly report of the Steemit Challenge Season 28 - Week 4". This week the challenge was different and as expected, I received - posts with participants a little more careful than last week yet a few made the same mistakes.

This week's prompt was different in the sense I wanted to see how deep Steemians go and explore the possibiities in prompt having a wide scope of a hidden mystery as well as use of imagination. Most user did that in their own ways but yet left much to be desired though.

I received 29 entries, and barring a couple all of them all were fair enough. As expected, most participants used various forms for getting the ideas for their stories including AI, but they came clean on our analytic assessment/tools. The number of entries this week further reduced due to platform facing glitches and instability.

I did my best efforts checking the posts based on the set criteria of content, story, originality, formatting, presentation, uniqueness, and, of course, our observation. It was not easy, but I selected top 6 winners purely based on points obtained.

Post-1

Post-3

The diary described an official strongbox moved under the fort after a public collection, donations for restoring the ramparts. The money vanished. The investigation faded. Then a line hit Timothy like cold water: a boy from “Linden Alley” saw too much and was “silenced without being touched.”

The two friends quickly went back to Tony. When they asked him why he kept the secret for so long, he started crying. Tony explained that even though Jackson was old, he was still dangerous and would hamper anyone who tried to expose his past crimes.

David and Timothy exchanged a glance, they were both fearful and curious. Each page they read mapped the slow corruption of their town's former treasurer, Mr Howard Clayden, one of the most respected officials everyone believed had vanished decades ago when the treasure was stolen. But the last entry made both men freeze.

Post-6

Steve wanted revenge on him, and he was also resentful of D'Souza's wealth. He thought that by pointing fingers at him, the investigating agencies would quickly assume he had stolen the treasure because he was so wealthy. This way, he could cover up his great-grandfather's mistakes and take revenge.

Congratulations to all of you for your efforts, imagination, and story-building ability.

I hope those constants that lost because of the wheel spin come back even stronger next week.

That's all for the first week,

Best Regards

@dove11

See you next week
