Forgotten Beauty
Her mirror cracks, yet still she stands,
With grace unclaimed by greedy hands,
The world walks past her gentle art,
Blind to the gold within her heart.
In fading light her colours stay,
Soft truths the noise has swept away,
What once was loved, then cast aside,
Still breathes beneath the dust of pride.
One day, a gaze will pause and see,
The depth of lost simplicity,
For beauty waits, it does not flee,
Remembered best when set free.
