The hours drip slowly like ink turning blue,
Each second, a promise I’m learning to do.
I breathe in the dark, let the dawn come into view,
Where faith finds its footing between dreams and you.
The past loosens knots it once tightly drew,
Softened by chances the heart never knew.
I cross every fear the night ever threw,
Carried by courage between dreams and you.
When morning arrives with a merciful hue,
I wake to the truth that love already knew.
No distance can dim what the soul walks through,
