It's Never The Same
The sky still turns from grey to blue,
But every colour’s pulled askew.
Old songs return with quiet flame,
They warm the heart, then spark the pain.
I smile still, though something’s gone,
A shadow where we once were one.
Time moves on, but plays a game,
It heals the wound, not who I am.
I learn to breathe, to stand, to aim,
Yet joy and sorrow share the frame.
What once was whole now bears a name—
A life remade, but never the same.
