Warm Winter Words
The cold retreats when syllables are kind,
Each tender phrase a fire we designed,
Breath turns to clouds, but hearts remain in bloom,
Spring learning patience in a borrowed room.
Bootsteps fade, yet echoes choose to stay,
Your laughter thaws the longest shade of grey,
Even Frost believes in us somehow,
Melting at the promise of the now.
When winter ends, and memory grows thin,
These gentle words will keep the warmth within,
For seasons pass, but truth has learned the art
Of building summer homes in the heart.
