In attendance were the Deputy Regent of Bireuen, Ir. H. Razuardi, MT, members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), the Acting Regional Secretary, the Assistant and Head of the Regional Work Units (SKPK), employees, religious leaders, students, and other participants.
In his remarks, the Deputy Regent of Bireuen, Ir. H. Razuardi, stated that through Zikir and Religious Service, we not only commemorate a significant event but also remind ourselves to always be grateful to Allah SWT for all His countless blessings.
The 21st anniversary of the Aceh Tsunami is being celebrated today, coinciding with the aftermath of the floods and landslides that have occurred. This should be a moment to re-embrace the values of life often forgotten amidst our busy lives and routines.
This disaster reminds us that life is full of uncertainty. Just as tsunamis, floods, and landslides come unexpectedly, so too are the trials of human life.
"However, we wholeheartedly believe that Allah SWT is always with those who are patient, who remain steadfast even when the world seems to be collapsing before their eyes," he said.
He further stated that in an emergency situation like the current one, we urge the public to maintain calm, stability, and unity, and fully support efforts to address the floods and landslides.
We invite the public to continue fostering a spirit of mutual cooperation and solidarity in facing this disaster. The local government is committed to maximizing efforts to mitigate the impact of the floods and landslides to expedite the recovery process.
On behalf of the local government, we express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all parties, including the private sector, humanitarian organizations, and volunteers, who have assisted the people of Bireuen Regency," said the Deputy Regent.
