Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Charity Day, the Bireuen Ministry of Religious Affairs Holds a Joint Prayer and Dhikr.
To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Charity Day (HAB) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bireuen Regency held a joint prayer and dhikr at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space (RTH) on Saturday, January 3, 2026. This year's 80th HAB commemoration carried the theme "People in Harmony and Synergy, Indonesia in Peace and Progress."
The event began with a roll call for the 80th HAB commemoration led by the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis ST. On this occasion, the Regent of Bireuen read a speech from the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of maintaining interfaith harmony, strengthening cross-sector synergy, and enhancing the commitment of Ministry of Religious Affairs personnel to providing the best possible service to the public.
Following the roll call, the series of activities continued with a solemn dhikr and joint prayer. Prayers were offered for the victims of the hydrometeorological disasters that struck several areas, while also asking for protection, safety, and fortitude for all affected communities.
The Head of the Bireuen Regency Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Dr. H. Zulkifli SAg MPd, stated that the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the birth of Muhammadiyah (HAB) was not only meant as a ceremonial event, but also as a moment for spiritual reflection and strengthening the values of togetherness.
"Through this dhikr and prayer, we hope that Allah SWT will grant strength and fortitude to our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster, and will always keep our region safe and peaceful," he said.
On this occasion, the Head of the Bireuen Ministry of Religious Affairs Office also reported the significant impact of the flood disaster on the Ministry of Religious Affairs. A total of 1,274 civil servants were affected by the floods, with 12 civil servants losing their homes, 55 madrasahs (Islamic schools) affected, approximately 3,000 students affected, one Islamic boarding school collapsed, and several mosques were damaged.
He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Bireuen Regency Government, which he considered responsive and alert in handling the disaster.
Furthermore, Zulkifli emphasized that the theme of the 80th Anniversary of the Bireuen Religious Day serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining communal harmony, strengthening synergy, and increasing environmental awareness as part of moral and religious responsibility.
Through the 80th Anniversary of the Bireuen Religious Day commemoration, which includes religious activities, the Bireuen Ministry of Religious Affairs hopes to continue to strengthen its role as a servant of the community, present, caring, and actively contributing to the realization of a harmonious, peaceful, and progressive society.
