The Diary Game|| October 23,2025||"Garden Checking at Our Lot"

Today is my vacant day and My Daughter don't have class because her Teacher will assist the Barangay activities that is why I have lots of time spending with my Family. But my obligations is as always and it needs to be done on time. My partner told me to visit our lot at Barangay Punta Silum located at the Municipality of Manticao, Misamis Oriental. I was delighted to visit the place again and to checked our lot where few vegetables at the Garden were planted. Aside of that there are also few fruit trees grows in the place and some of it are already produced fruits. It was 5 o'clock in the morning when we started to wait for any passenger vehicle, My Daughter was at my Partner's Parents and she was having a lot of fun time playing with her GrandParents. It takes a few minutes before we finally ride on a passenger vehicle and it is better to get early so we can avoid intense heat during the travel. As we arrived there, I hurriedly checked our Jackfruit trees and my Grandma planted it. I was very happy and surprised that it already produced few jackfruits and it will be harvested by next Month.

Our Crops Garden at the Lot:

Last week, we hired few men to clean the place where we planted our cassava crops and as checked the place I am very satisfied for having a clean areas. No wild plants and grass grows and ready to plant cassava crops. The men we hired for cleaning the place was also volunteered to plant those cassava tubers and cuttings and we accepted their kindness for us. Now, the cassava crops they planted last week is now continously stabled producing lots of young leaves. There are some parts of the lot that is not yet cleaned but we only told those hired men to clean the place where we planted our crops.

Young Cassava Plants:

As I checked and counting those tubers and cuttings planting in the lot, I noticed that it already reached 70 cuttings planted. This will be very nice specially when it will be stabled producing lots of crops. Cultivating the soil is very important so the roots can easily expand and the stems will grows taller. We did not do any garden plots instead we only do malching on which we dug a hole in right deep and wideness. Planters was decided to plant the tubers and cuttings in slanting positions so the leaves and branches will come in one side of the cuttings. Now, it already produced lots of young leaves on its stems and it takes few months before we can harvested cassava crops.

Two Types of Colors of My Camote vine leaves:

Everytime when we do gardening, we really did not forget to plant lots of camote leaves in the Garden. In fact, our lot also have this kind of leafy vegetables but it is not yet ready to harvest and it needs to wait for a few weeks. This two type of Camote leaves we have here will be sell at the Market when we got lots of it during harvesting activities. Take caring of this vegetables are not difficult, I only dug a hole, carefully placed at the hole together with the organic fertilizer I used like saw-dust.

A Glimpse of My Okra Vegetables:

Last Month we also planted fifty Okra seeds here and now it already grows stabled. Last visit here, I measured my Okra vegetables and it reaches 8 inches and now it grows taller and bigger, it will expected to produced lots of flowers before Okra vegetables. Just like the other plant I also loosen the soil so the roots will fastly expanding. Removing wild grass near at the plant is a must so the growth will better and better. I never expected that it all grows because the seeds I'd planted here are not good and very dried, but I was very surprised to see that it grows very healthy and tall.

Young Chilli Pepper Came Out:

This are my chilli pepper plants and it also produced lots of young green chillis. It is not yet ready to harvest and it needs fee more weeks before harvesting. The best way I did was to covered it with net so chickens and birds cannot eat chilli although this is one of my problem here. Those animals eat my chilli pepper and covering it with net is a perfect ideas. I decided to plant more chilli plants so I can sell some of it at the supermarket.

My Bitter Gourd Section:

We also have bitter gourd plants here and the seeds I'd planted here was brought from Our Municipal agriculture. It already produced two bitter gourds but I decided to covered with plastics and let it dry there until the seeds will dry also before planting it again. I only have few bitter gourd plants here and it is better to plant lots of it. My partner also made this frames out of dry branches so the plants can stick on the branches and can easily get those gourds.

As I noticed our lot, it slowly developed and the plants are truly healthy. I also noticed that the soil is also good for the plants and as I proven I really want to expand my Garden and plant lots of vegetables at the place. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
