The Bireuen Regency Government held a zikr (remembrance of God) gathering, a prayer gathering, and a sermon to commemorate its 26th anniversary at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space (RTH) field on Thursday evening, October 9, 2025, in Kota Juang District.

The event was attended by the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST; the Chairperson of the Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK), Sadriah, SKM., MKM; the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), and Bireuen Regency Government officials, as well as religious leaders, other relevant stakeholders, a number of zikr participants, and visitors.

Fauzan, Deputy Head of the Bireuen Anniversary Appreciation Stage Section, stated that, in accordance with the program schedule, the event, themed "Bireuen in Zikir," was led by Master of Ceremonies (MC), Syech Mulyadi.

The event began with a hadrah (recitation of praise) and salawat (recitation of praise) by the As Surrul Wal Inas Council. Zikr and prayer together were performed by the Yadara Zikr team, and Shalawat Badr (badr prayer) was performed by Tgk Khalili from Jeunieb. Quran memorization was performed by Ustad Mu'min Ainul Mubaraq (an international reciter from Tasik Malaya, West Java).

Furthermore, the sermon and prayer together were also attended by KH Mujib Khudhori (the head of the Tajul Quran Islamic Boarding School, Markazona, East Java), explained Fauzan.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bireuen, Mukhlis, ST, in his remarks, stated, "Tonight we sit together in zikr to commemorate the 26th anniversary of the founding of Bireuen Regency. This is certainly still a young age compared to the nation's journey.

However, it has taught us enough about the importance of maintaining togetherness in regional development. Through this Bireuen Dalam Zikr activity, we want to emphasize that development in Bireuen Regency is not merely physical.

It also involves spiritual development, building the soul and cultivating the heart, strengthening faith, and fostering love for Allah SWT and His Messenger," he said.

We hold this dhikr not only as part of a celebration, but more than that, as an expression of our gratitude and inner endeavor, as well as a spiritual manifestation that development is not only material but also spiritual.

"I invite all of us, from officials, religious scholars, students, and all levels of society, to continue to strengthen ties and strengthen collaboration in developing this region," he said.

Because the progress of Bireuen Regency cannot be achieved by the work of the government alone, but rather arises from the synergy of all elements, between the religious leaders and religious scholars, between the government and the people, working together in a spirit of togetherness and sincerity.

"Let this 26th anniversary serve as a reminder to us all that the success of developing Bireuen is a gift from Allah SWT, which we have earned with prayer, patience, and unity," said the Regent.
