A House Burns Down in Ranto Panyang, Bireuen.
A fire occurred in Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, destroying a house and its contents on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The burned house belonged to Hamzah (40 years old), a resident of Ranto Panyang Village, Juli District, Bireuen. The accident occurred at approximately 2:15 PM WIB.
According to reports, the house was empty at the time of the incident. Hamzah, the homeowner, was working on a palm oil plantation, while his wife and children were attending a feast in Jeumpa District, Bireuen.
The house fire was initially discovered by local residents. Upon realizing the fire, they immediately extinguished the flames with the available equipment and contacted the Bireuen Fire Department.
One fire engine from the Juli Post and three units from the Bireuen Main Post were deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire. The rapid and intense fire made it impossible to save the house and its contents.
This incident has left seven people homeless and in need of assistance to recover from the disaster.
Following the disaster, residents of Gampong Ranto Panyang, assisted by members of the Koramil (Military Command) and the Juli Police, worked together to clean up the remains of Hamzah's house. At the scene, young people and local residents were seen working together to remove the charred zinc sheets.
The group also cleaned the interior of the house of wood and debris that were still black. Some residents also poured water on the charred floor to prevent the spread of dust and charcoal.
The presence of officers from the Juli Police and Koramil strengthened the community's spirit of mutual cooperation in helping the homeless families.
Hamzah, the homeowner, stood stunned, watching the remains of the house that had been his home with his wife and five children.
Occasionally, he glanced at his youngest child standing beside him, as if he couldn't believe that their home was now nothing but rubble.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Saidi (19), Hamzah's eldest son, sat listlessly next to a neighbor's house, accompanied by his grandmother. His eyes never left the burning house.
He explained that when the incident occurred, he had just been notified by residents and immediately went to look for his father in the oil palm plantation. When they returned, the house was already in flames.
"Everything was burned, only the clothes on my back were left," Saidi said softly, wearing a worn black t-shirt.
Although this disaster has left deep sorrow, the spirit of solidarity among the community has strengthened Hamzah's family. This act of mutual cooperation is proof that the value of togetherness remains strong within the community, especially in the face of disaster.
Now, Hamzah's family desperately needs help from various parties to rebuild their lives, which were devastated by the fire.
