A total of 81 school principals and functional officials within the Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) were inaugurated and sworn in by Bireuen Regent H. Mukhlis on Friday afternoon (February 27, 2026) at the Education and Culture Office Hall.

They comprised 3 Kindergarten (TK) principals, 27 Public Elementary School (SDN) principals, 8 Public Junior High School (SMPN) principals, and 43 functional officials.

Bireuen Regent Mukhlis hopes that the principals will be fair, honest leaders, and oriented towards the welfare of the community, especially the younger generation of Bireuen Regency.

The term of office for a principal is four years and can be extended for two terms. Therefore, the principal's tenure must be optimally utilized, and the position will be continuously evaluated every six months.

"I hope that the newly appointed officers will work well and honestly to improve the quality of education in Bireuen Regency," he said.

The Regent emphasized three main points to functional officials, predominantly healthcare workers: first, serve patients with a smile and patience, treating them like family.

Second, don't let bureaucracy take lives. He instructed all healthcare officials to ensure that services, especially at Dr. Fauziah Regional Hospital and community health centers in remote sub-districts, are responsive and without discrimination.

Third, utilize digital health information systems and be healthcare professionals who adapt to changing times. "To all other functional officials, integrity is paramount. Position is a trust, and you will be held accountable in this world and the hereafter," he concluded.
