Bireuen Regent Receives Disaster Aid from the Aceh Government.
The Deputy Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, accompanied by the Chief of the Aceh Regional Police (Kapolda Aceh), Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah, symbolically handed over Aceh Government aid for disaster victims to the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, on Wednesday, November 18, 2025, at the Meuligoe Bupati courtyard.
The aid consisted of various types of post-disaster logistical assistance, including clothing and food supplies, totaling one truckload to be stored in the Bireuen Social Service warehouse and distributed to the community in the event of a disaster.
After the aid distribution, the Deputy Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, stated that this was the second aid distribution he had received, after Pidie Regency. After Bireuen, the aid would also be distributed to Bener Meriah and Central Aceh.
The aid included a complete range of food supplies, including mattresses and tents. The weather at the end of each year is characterized by increasing rainfall, making flooding more likely, and the Deputy Governor expressed his hope that no further disasters would occur.
"However, we are still preparing all necessary supplies for anticipation. If supplies run out in the regional warehouse, please submit a request to us in Aceh Province, and we will send more aid," said the Deputy Governor.
The Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, also expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Governor of Aceh for the assistance provided, including the various necessities needed to prepare for floods and other disasters.
Meanwhile, the Acting Head of the Aceh Social Service, Chaidir, stated that this handover was part of a series of emergency response aid distributions for post-disaster panic or disaster preparedness, launched by Aceh Governor Muzakkir Manaf yesterday, Tuesday, November 17, 2025.
This aid was distributed to 10 regencies/cities in Aceh Province. Each region received one truckload of aid for post-flood response, which was stored in the regency/city warehouse.
We have distributed the first phase of aid to Aceh Jaya, West Aceh, and Nagan Raya. The Deputy Governor has distributed the second phase to Pidie, Bireuen, Bener Meriah, and Central Aceh Regencies. We will distribute the aid to the other six regencies soon.
"This aid was provided initially to ensure the availability of goods in regional warehouses, and also at the request of the Regent and Mayor because supplies in warehouses are running low and some are empty," explained Chaidir.
