The Regent of Bireuen served as the Instructor for the Flag Ceremony Commemorating the 97th Youth Pledge Day in 2025.
The Regent of Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, H. Mukhlis, ST, served as the Instructor for the Flag Ceremony Commemorating the 97th Youth Pledge Day (HSP) in 2025. The event took place in the courtyard of the Regent's Hall on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
In the ceremony, themed "Youth Move, Indonesia Unites," Regent Mukhlis read a written address from the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, filled with inspirational messages for Indonesian youth.
"We no longer raise sharpened bamboo spears, but rather raise knowledge, hard work, and honesty. But the spirit remains the same: Indonesia must stand tall and must not be defeated," said the Regent, reading the Minister's message.
He added that the fighting spirit of the youth of 1928 should serve as an example for the current generation in facing the challenges of a rapidly changing era.
"We live in challenging times, the world is moving fast. But we must not be afraid because we must believe that in every village, in every city, there are still honest, resilient, and courageous young Indonesians. That is the strength of our nation," he continued.
The speech also emphasized the importance of developing patriotic, persistent, and empathetic young men and women who can make real contributions to the nation and remain steadfast amidst a storm of challenges.
"Don't be afraid to dream big, don't be afraid to fail. You are not mere appendages to history, but rather the determinants of its future," the Regent concluded the Minister of Youth and Sports' remarks.
The ceremony took place solemnly, with the participation of hundreds of participants from various youth groups, students, and government agencies.
The ceremony officials included Mulya Saputra, SE (Head of Youth Affairs, Bireuen Youth and Sports Agency) as the ceremony commander, and Rahmat Saputra, SSTP., M.Ec.Dev (Secretary of Bireuen Youth and Sports Agency) as the ceremony officer.
The flag-raising ceremony was entrusted to the Bireuen Flag Raising Team (Paskibraka), consisting of Rizki, Martukis, and Rafli Pasya Lubis.
The reading of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution was performed by Fajar Adriansyah, M.Pd., from Muhammadiyah Youth, while Abdul Halim, S.Sosio, Chairman of the Bireuen Regional Leadership Council (DPD II) of the Indonesian Youth Congress (KNPI), read the Decree of the 1928 Indonesian Youth Congress.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer by Rifal Fauzal, SH., from the Bireuen Ministry of Religious Affairs Office.
