The Wife of the Deputy Governor of Aceh Visits Flood Victims in Jangka, Bireuen.
The Head of the Expert Staff of the Aceh Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP-PKK), and the wife of the Deputy Governor of Aceh, Mukarramah Fadhullah, directly inspected the condition of flood victims in Pasi Hamlet, Jangka District, Bireuen Regency, on Friday afternoon (December 12, 2025).
During her working visit to the location, one of the villages worst affected by the flooding in Jangka District, the Deputy Governor's wife and her entourage were also accompanied by Jangka District Head Mulyadi and the Chairperson of the Jangka TP-PKK, Kartini, and Police Chief First Inspector Sufiannur, the Village Head of Alue Kuta Habibullah, and residents.
Jangka Sub-district Head Mulyadi, accompanied by the Keuchik of Alue Kuta, Habibullah, at the evacuation site for residents of Pasi Hamlet at the Istiqamatuddin Pasi Dayah LPI, stated that all 46 villages in the sub-district were affected by the flood that occurred on Wednesday (November 26, 2025), with both minor and severe damage.
Of these, several villages suffered the most severe damage: Kuala Ceurape, Alue Kuta, Alue Bayeu Utang, Ule Cee, Bugeng, Punjot, and Pulo Pineung Meunasah Dua.
In Kuala Ceurape, 35 homes were destroyed by the floodwaters, and a concrete bridge leading to Pasi Hamlet collapsed, requiring a makeshift bridge made of coconut trunks to be built.
Similarly, in Pasi Hamlet, Alue Kuta Village, 40 homes were lost to the flash flood, with 28 severely damaged and 95 severely damaged. The residents of Pasi Hamlet comprise 77 families totaling hundreds of people, and the hamlet is located not far from Jangka Beach, he explained.
The Jangka Sub-district Head added that the presence of the Deputy Governor of Aceh, who also distributed basic food aid to the residents of Pasi Hamlet, was certainly very helpful, reducing their burden of post-disaster needs.
"We hope the Deputy Governor of Aceh can convey to the Aceh Government, as well as the Governor and Deputy Governor of Aceh, that damaged infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, be immediately repaired so that conditions can return to normal," said the Jangka Sub-district Head.
"He also stated that the majority of the residents of Pasi Hamlet make their living as fishermen. Due to the flash flood, their equipment, such as boats, was destroyed, and their fishing gear, including their fishing nets, was lost, preventing them from going out to sea," he explained.
Meanwhile, Mukarramah Fadhullah, wife of the Deputy Governor of Aceh, who is also the Head of the Expert Staff of the Aceh Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK), visited the refugee camp and observed the flood-damaged homes in Pasi Hamlet, Alue Kuta Village.
This visit is certainly a manifestation of her concern for the flood victims. "I will convey the various hopes of the residents, village heads, and Jangka sub-district head to the Deputy Governor of Aceh, and I hope these hopes will be fulfilled," she said.
During this visit, we also brought basic necessities. We hope this assistance will be beneficial to the residents currently in post-flood evacuation centers.
"My message to the community is to maintain their health, maintain their spirits, and remain resilient in facing this ordeal, as this is not unique to us, but is occurring almost everywhere." "Aceh," said the wife of the Deputy Governor of Aceh, Mukarramah Fadhullah.
