The Diary Game – Starting School Activities with Quran Recitation

in Steem SEAyesterday

Good morning and warm greetings to all fellow Steemians. How are you all doing today? I hope we remain in good health and under the protection of Allah SWT, enabling us to carry out our daily activities smoothly and successfully. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share the events of this wonderful day.

On this Friday a truly special day for Muslims I began my routine activities. It was a bright morning, as the clock neared 7:00 AM (Western Indonesia Time), I stepped out of my home in the Panggoi area of Muara Dua. I headed to my workplace, a public high school (SMA Negeri) in the beloved city of Lhokseumawe. Alhamdulillah, the roads were still relatively quiet, free from the usual bustle of daily life; few workers, residents, or students were visible, as it was still quite early.

The uncrowded streets made for a smooth, trouble free journey without any traffic jams. Before long, I arrived at a favorite coffee shop not far from the school. I stopped briefly at "Lom Kupi" to enjoy a cup of kopi hitam pancung (a small serving of black coffee). This caffeinated beverage has become an essential part of my daily routine, especially in the mornings. Experts believe this black coffee offers various health benefits. Shortly after paying the IDR 5,000 bill, I left Lom Kupi and headed straight to the school.

It took only a moment to arrive at the school grounds; after parking my vehicle and clocking in using the fingerprint scanner, I headed to several classrooms to direct the students to the schoolyard. As is customary every Friday morning, a recitation of the Holy Quran takes place before classes begin. This morning, Surah Al-Waqi'ah was recited, in accordance with the established schedule. The morning activity concluded with a prayer and brief remarks from the principal. Afterward, the students were given a short break for breakfast, as quite a few of the hundreds of students had not managed to eat at home.

For the odd semester of the 2026–2027 academic year, I do not have a teaching schedule. Shortly before 10:00 AM before classes ended I left the school premises. I took a moment to attend to some personal business nearby before heading home to rest. Upon hearing the announcement from the mosque loudspeaker, I prepared to go to the Babul Huda Mosque in Panggoi to attend Friday prayers. After the prayers, I simply stayed home with my child, who was feeling unwell, until nightfall.

That sums up my activities on this blessed day, thank you, as always, for the support of all my fellow Steemit users, wherever you may be.
