Thanksgiving by Feeding Kids During Their Playtime.
According to Kay Redfield Jamison, Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.
Play is so important in the life of a child. It is also a way for them and even us adults to learn. Every kids should have the opportunity to enjoy it in this stage of their lives.
Although it is a necessity, some children could not enjoy their childhood due to poverty that they need to work and help their family at the young age. A lot of reasons why some kids could not enjoy.
The kids in our neighborhood are from a low income families. Most of them could play as they are allowed by their parents, some just able to observe others playing while taking care of their younger siblings, and a few has to help household chores, and other jobs to assist their parents.
As part of our goal is to help those who are in need to the best that we could offer even in small things that could help someone with their needs.
Aside from the groceries we gave to every family in the community, my family and I make sure that we could feed (at least sometimes) the kids during their play time.
During the peak of the pandemic, these kids were staying at home and were not able to play with friends outside their homes especially that we live very close to the police office and restrictions were very tough.
Seeing them enjoying their childhood and engaging with other kids would help them deal the reality of the future ahead. We just have to lead them right.
I hope we can do more of feedings soon. Already planning for the next activity and me and my wife will try to get a yummy nutritious snacks or meal for them soon.
MAY GOD BLESS US ALL ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO KEEP ON SUPPORTING ME WITH MY POST.
