The implementation of the Maulid celebration was marked by heavy rain

Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!

The Maulid celebration, or commemoration of the birth of the great Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), took place in our village some time ago on November 24, 2025, the day before the flash flood struck.

The Maulid celebration, as usual, took place at the village Meunasah (mosque), but it had been marked by rain for several days prior. By the peak of the celebration on Monday, November 24, the rain had become increasingly heavy.

Nevertheless, as the organizing committee and the village organizing the Maulid celebration, we still strived to ensure the 2025 Maulid celebration in our village was a success, despite the torrential downpour. The dhikr group we invited arrived on time, despite having to brave the downpour.

Fortunately, the electricity was still working, so the dhikr and sholawat (prayer) weren't desolate. Villagers and surrounding communities also came in droves, carrying umbrellas and raincoats, to enliven the Maulid celebration.

We continued with the orphan charity as usual, although as I was leading the way, the rain intensified. We continued to serve the congregation and guests as best we could, providing them with a feast, which was the last one held at our mosque for 2025.

Until all the guests and invitees had finished their feast and left the Meunasah, the location of our village's Maulid celebration, the rain continued to linger. And no one knew why. On Tuesday night, we slept soundly for only one night, because the following night, Wednesday, disaster struck: a flood, causing damage and a loss of tranquility, making the refugee camp a highly undesirable resting place.
