Writing || A moment with a colleague
Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!
Last Friday, June 19, 2026, was the day of the distribution of report cards for students in grades 1 through 5 at our school. The event went smoothly and with great excitement. However, since it was Friday, I went home to get ready to go to the village mosque to perform the obligatory Friday prayer for every Muslim male. However, several of my fellow teachers chose to sit at school, as they had some personal matters to attend to.
After performing my obligatory Friday prayer at the village mosque, I went to school briefly to grab my laptop bag. However, I also found several other fellow teachers still in their offices, working on their own personal tasks.
A few moments later, a fellow teacher invited us to hang out for a while at a cafe in our district center. I actually wanted to find something to eat in the district center, since I hadn't had lunch yet. It just so happened that our colleague invited us to enjoy lunch and drinks together.
So, without further ado, we set off down the 200-meter path to a cafe in our district center. After sitting for a while and ordering our food and drinks, we chatted about the report card distribution and our respective vacation plans for the end-of-year break.
A short while later, our orders were ready, and we enjoyed them together. We then resumed our conversation while enjoying our drinks, and I was forced to indulge in my favorite cigarette.

A moment with friends is a precious moment where time seems to stop, allowing us to unwind and refresh our minds. Being with friends is a warm space for conversation, filled with nostalgia, laughter, and life updates that instill new energy.
