Writing || Between Hobbies and Health
Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!
A hobby is an activity that brings special pleasure. Hobbies are usually done in free time (not as a primary occupation) to calm the mind. Hobbies aim to provide satisfaction, reduce stress, and channel desires, such as sports, art, reading, fishing, and so on.
However, sports are my most beloved hobby, and I try to make time for them every day. Of course, not all sports are considered my hobbies, but only those related to balls, which have always been my favorites: soccer with its various types and sizes of fields, volleyball, and other ball sports.
As the name suggests, a hobby is an activity done repeatedly for pleasure and satisfaction. Hobbies can provide many benefits, such as:
1. Health-Related Hobbies
One of my health-related hobbies is definitely exercise. Exercise is a productive activity that can improve physical fitness and brain health, relieve stress, increase muscle strength, and improve blood circulation.
This is a hobby I always make time for, both day and night. During the day, I exercise with my school children during gym class. Occasionally, in the evenings, I play futsal and mini-soccer with all the teenagers and friends in my village.
Furthermore, I occasionally spend my afternoons playing volleyball with all the teenagers and young men in my village on the hamlet volleyball court.
2. Arts Hobbies
I also have hobbies in the arts. Among them are listening to music and even singing when I'm alone in a quiet place. My goal is simply to entertain myself by expressing the lyrics of the songs I hear.
I often practice this every morning at school. I come to school early in the morning to work cleaning the yard while listening to music lyrics, which I play on the school's loudspeaker.
*Hobbies and health are closely related, where the right hobby can be a natural therapy for improving physical and mental health. Engaging in activities you enjoy helps reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve sleep quality, and trigger the release of endorphins, hormones that make you happy.
