Writing || Moments on Victory Day
Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!
Victory Day is generally associated with Eid al-Fitr, a day of victory celebrated with full prostrations of gratitude in the morning, one of which is by performing the voluntary prayer of Eid early in the morning.
Victory Day also signifies that every Muslim throughout the world has fulfilled their duties and obligations throughout the holy month of Ramadan, namely by fasting and increasing their acts of worship and devotion to God Almighty.
Victory Day marks the successful overcoming of desires during the holy month of Ramadan and a return to the natural state of praise during Eid. This victory encompasses not only physical victory but also spiritual victory to increase piety, strengthen ties, and forgiveness.
The beautiful moments on the day of victory, which I shared with all the villagers gathered in our mosque, included enlivening the night of victory with the recitation and reverberation of the Takbir (prayer) with great enthusiasm.
We continued to recite the Takbir until late at night, making the day of victory even more festive and its positive impact palpable.
Furthermore, in the morning, we pray that on this day of victory, we perform the voluntary Eid prayer, as a token of our gratitude to the Creator, who has given us the opportunity to celebrate this day of victory.
The specific meaning of the day of victory is:
1. Spiritual Victory
Spiritual victory encompasses our success in overcoming lust, anger, and bad habits during the holy month of Ramadan. This spiritual victory should also last beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
2. Returning to Fitrah
Returning to fitrah, or purity, is a process of self-purification after asking for forgiveness and performing good deeds, so that the heart becomes pure and pure.
3. Expressions of Gratitude
Victory Day is a day to prostrate in gratitude and glorify Allah for His guidance and successful completion of the fast during Ramadan.
4. Social Moments
Common social moments on Victory Day include social gatherings, sharing happiness, and strengthening bonds of brotherhood among family, neighbors, and Muslims in general.
