Today’s SteemHop Log | When Does the Eagle Appear?

Hello friends.

It’s time once again for another fun SteemHop session.

As always,
the day started nicely with the Daily Bonus reward.

+10 points.

A pretty comfortable start.

But then…

the spin wheel only gave me 55 points.

Yeah…
not exactly the luckiest beginning today 😅

So today,
instead of simply trying to survive,
I decided to do a little experiment.

As everyone knows,
SteemHop is basically a game where you keep hopping forward while avoiding cars,
trains,
and water.

Those obstacles are difficult,
but honestly,
if you focus enough,
you can usually avoid them somehow.

But the eagle…

That thing feels completely unavoidable sometimes.

And because of that,
I suddenly became curious.

What exactly causes the eagle to appear?

So today,
I spent several runs testing different situations.

And after many tragic deaths,
I think I finally learned a few things.

My Eagle Experiment Results

1. Hopping backward at the start

1000063776.jpg

If you keep hopping backward instead of moving forward normally,
the eagle eventually appears.

Apparently,
the game really does not want players staying near the starting area too long.

2. Moving too far to the right side

I noticed that when I kept moving toward the far right edge,
especially while riding logs or rafts,
the eagle showed up again.

Interesting.

3. Moving too far to the left side

1000063771.jpg

1000063774.jpg

Same result here.

When I kept forcing my character toward the far left side,
the eagle eventually came after me too.

So it doesn’t seem to matter whether you go left or right.

The eagle dislikes both equally 😂

4. Only moving straight forward

This one is still unconfirmed.

I wanted to test whether the eagle also appears if you only keep moving forward normally without side movement…

but unfortunately,
I kept dying before I could fully confirm it 😅

So today’s experiment failed in that area.

Very scientific.

At this point,
my personal theory is this:

The eagle probably exists to stop players from leaving the center gameplay area too much.

If players move too far backward,
too far sideways,
or stay in one place too long,
the eagle appears to force movement back toward the main path.

At least,
that’s what today’s experiments seemed to show.

Of course,
this is just my theory for now.

If anyone has different ideas about how the eagle works,
feel free to leave a comment.

Maybe together we can finally understand this terrifying bird.

That’s all for today’s SteemHop research session.

See you again in tomorrow’s fun hopping adventure.

Bye 👋
