The Called One: A Missionary Living by Faith

Hello everyone! I am Jocelyn Cahayag, and you can simply call me Jocelyn. I am a missionary, a woman of faith, and a dreamer who believes that God has a greater purpose for every life.
I am the third child in a family of four siblings. Growing up, life was not always perfect, but it was filled with lessons that shaped who I am today. As a child, I had many dreams simple dreams that later turned into a deeper desire to live a meaningful life, not only for myself but also for others.
At the age of seventeen, my life took a different direction. It was the moment I answered God’s call. It was not an easy decision, especially at a young age when most people are still exploring life. But deep in my heart, I knew that this was the path that God prepared for me.
Being a missionary is not just a role it is a calling. It requires faith, courage, and a willing heart. It means letting go of comfort, facing uncertainties, and trusting God completely. There were times when I felt tired, discouraged, and even questioned myself. But in every moment of weakness, God reminded me why I started.
As I continue to serve, I have experienced many miracles not just big, extraordinary ones, but also simple miracles in everyday life. I have seen lives changed, hearts healed, and hope restored in places I never expected to go. These experiences strengthened my faith and made me realize that God is always working, even when we cannot see it.
Through my journey, I have learned many valuable lessons in life. I learned how to trust God in every situation, even when things are uncertain. I learned how to be strong during trials and not give up easily. I learned how to love and serve people genuinely, regardless of their background. Most importantly, I learned that every hardship has a purpose, and every pain can lead to growth.
Being a missionary also allowed me to meet different people and visit different places. Each place has its own story, and each person has their own struggles and victories. Listening to them, praying for them, and sharing God’s love with them became one of the most fulfilling parts of my life.
This platform will serve as my online journal, where I will share my journey, testimonies, life lessons, and experiences as a missionary. I believe that every story has the power to inspire, and I hope that through my journey, I can encourage others to keep going, to stay strong, and to trust God in every season of their lives.
