Yamin Tragedy Square (Dhaka)

Assalamu Alaikum dear friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. Today I am here with a Steem Atlas post. Through today's post, I will inform you about one of the structures in the museum that is a tragedy of the authoritarian government. This is one of the pillars of the July Memorial Uprising. The name of this square is Yamin Tragedy. This is a structure created to depict the killing of an educated person during the fascist era of the authoritarian government. The person being thrown out of the tank here is named Yamin. This establishment was built to commemorate his naming.

During the dictatorship and fascism, when the people were fed up and took to the streets to demand his resignation, that martyr Yameen took to the streets. But Yameen was shot dead by the illegal police forces of the Sairachar government. He was being taken away in a tank and dumped in the middle of an open road. It was identified through photography and video recording of that exact moment that the police were killing him and leaving him in the street. This horrific and tragic scene brought tears to the eyes of the people of the country. People saw this horrific scene and took to the streets against that tyrannical fascist government. This murder tragedy centered around the July Uprising is one such example.

First he was shot dead in Dhaka, then he was being taken away by road in a tank. Yameen's body was being dumped onto the road from a police tank just before he was about to board the flyover. At that time, a journalist captured his photo, which went viral on social media at the time. And that is now located in a corner of the July Uprising Museum as Yameen Square. These horrific scenes from the government's protest against the use of photographs still haunt Bengalis today. Undoubtedly, this structure has been made visible to the people as a reflection of the fact that a fascist dictatorship cannot return. It has been created in the form of a scene of that terrible tragedy. The exact moment that is seen in this installation has been created.
