The dog and its reflection

A dog was crossing a bridge with a piece of meat in its mouth. Seeing its reflection in the water below, it thought that another dog was holding a bigger piece of meat. In greed, it threw its own meat to throw the meat in the reflection's mouth. The meat floated away in the water, and it got nothing. Lesson: Greed often destroys even one's own wealth.
