🎯 TotoSteem — Rules

TotoSteem is a weekly prediction contest inspired by the classic Totocalcio pools game, with a STEEM prize pool that varies from round to round.

🎲 How to Play

Each round features 8 matches, selected from the top football leagues. For each match, you predict the outcome:

1 = home team win
X = draw
2 = away team win

✍️ How to Enter

Each match will be labeled with a letter of the alphabet, from A to H. Write your prediction in a comment under the round's post, indicating the reference letter and the prediction for all 8 matches:

Example: A1 BX C2 D1 EX F2 G1 HX

⏰ Cutoff

The deadline for each round of the contest will be announced from time to time; in any case, predictions received after the kickoff of the first scheduled match will not be accepted.

Only one valid entry per user per round is allowed: if a user submits multiple comments with different predictions, only the first one received in chronological order will be considered valid.

Predictions cannot be edited once published. Comments edited to change the prediction values will be excluded from the contest.

The contest organization reserves the right to deny participation to unverified users.

🏆 Prize Tiers

Based on the number of correct results out of 8:

Score	Share of the Round's Prize Pool
8/8	60%
7/8	30%
6/8	10%

Players who score fewer than 6 points do not share in the prize pool.

🖖Ties

If multiple users reach the same score within the same tier, that tier's share is divided equally among all winners in that tier.

🙅‍♂️ Unclaimed Tier

If, in a given round, no one reaches a particular tier (e.g. no one scores 8/8), that share is not awarded and is not redistributed among the other tiers: it is set aside and rolled into the general prize pool for the next round, with no tier restriction. The new total prize pool will then be split again according to the 60/30/10 scheme in the following round.

The overall prize pool is announced round by round and is generally increased, net of prizes paid out, by the rewards from the corresponding posts.

🏅 Official Results

Match results are verified against a declared official source (the relevant league/competition's official website). In case of discrepancies between sources, the official result published by the competition's governing body prevails.

⚽ Postponed or Cancelled Matches

If a scheduled match is postponed, suspended, or cancelled before being played in full:

• In case of suspension with no resumption during the same round, the score at the moment of suspension is considered final.
• In case of postponement or cancellation, a final result of 0-0 is considered, with an X prediction

💰 Prize Payment

Prizes are transferred in STEEM to winners within 3 days of the end of the last scheduled match, directly to the winners' Steemit wallets.
