Today I will review the raw market located in Saheb Bazar, Rajshahi, where a variety of fresh vegetables are available. This market sells a variety of seasonal vegetables at retail and wholesale prices. I will share more details about this raw market in my review post.

Various types of fresh vegetables are sold in this market, so people flock to this market to buy fresh vegetables. Every day of the week, there is a crowd of retailers including ordinary people, and during holidays, this raw market is crowded with people. Raw vegetables are imported from different areas every day in this market, which are free from chemicals. Retailers buy vegetables from here at wholesale prices and sell them at retail prices to make a profit. It is also a very popular raw market among the local people where all types of vegetables are sold at retail and wholesale prices.

Vegetables are imported according to the season, there are different types of vegetables in the list of winter vegetables and summer vegetables. Vegetables are an important part of our daily diet, chemical-free vegetables increase the immunity of our body. You can see a variety of vegetables including bitter gourd, barbati, kankrol, tomato, shrimp, cucumber, patal, dhenras, sweet pumpkin, rice pumpkin, gourd, raw kathal, brinjal, cabbage in this raw market. This is the largest and busiest vegetable market in Rajshahi city, where the demand for seasonal vegetables is very high.

Here, each stall is decorated with different types of seasonal vegetables, buyers can check and choose the vegetables of their choice and buy them. In this raw market, there is a variety of vegetables like Potato, Tomato, Brinjal, Carrot, Cucumber, Papaya, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Peas, Lady's Finger, Pumpkin, Ash Gourd, Bottle Gourd, Pointed Gourd, Bitter Gourd, Snake Gourd, Ridge Gourd, Yardlong Bean or Bean, Drumstick, Arum Lobe, Red Amaranth, Malabar Spinach, Water Spinach etc. I come to this market 2-3 times a week to do raw market.

During the rainy season, it is difficult to reach the vegetable market from far away, so the price of perishable vegetables is higher during the rainy season. The price of new vegetables in the season is a little higher, yet buyers choose this raw market to buy fresh vegetables. Even if they pay a little more to buy good quality vegetables, buyers accept it. The price of vegetables in the market changes for various reasons.
