Aftabganj is one of the well-known markets in Nawabganj upazila of Dinajpur district. Aftabganj has been newly built, it is a government market and this market is called the new market. It is only 13 kilometers from Fulbari city to Aftabganj city. It can be easily reached by bus or auto from Fulbari city towards the east.This market has many facilities, but today I will only discuss its new market where various essential goods are bought and sold.

As soon as you enter the market, you will see onion and spice shops. The market starts from the east side of the market. There are various spice shops here. Each shop has 30-40 types of spices. Most of these spices are cultivated permanently. The onions here are Bangladeshi. The prices of these are comparatively high. Next to them are fish shops and banana shops.

On the western side of the market, there is a fish shop, a gourd shop and a banana shop. There is a separate sector for each item. It is easy to get the necessary ingredients and accessories for any item. The prices of fruits here are kept at a limited level. Since the prices are high here, everything is available at a low price. Next to it is the pepper market. Both dried and raw peppers are available there.

Inside the market, you can see small shops everywhere. These shops sell low-priced goods. Turmeric, almonds, and chickpeas are also available in the small shops. There is a dried fish shop in the middle of the market. These dried fish are very clean. The price of these dried fish is also relatively low. A large amount of dried fish is sold in this shop. I went to this shop with my father to buy dried fish. The owner of the dried fish shop was very happy because of the high sales.
