As-Salamu Alaikum (Peace Be Upon You)

Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing well. Today I would like to share my experience of visiting a very well-known mango orchard in our city. This orchard is popularly known as Haque Saheb's Mango Orchard.

A man was picking ripe mangoes from the tree for customers. If you buy mangoes here, you can have them freshly picked directly from the tree, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

It is located beside the Parbatipur–Saidpur Road and is one of the most popular places for buying fresh seasonal mangoes.

What makes this orchard unique is that it is built around several large ponds. The combination of green mango trees, peaceful ponds, and fresh air creates a truly beautiful natural environment.

Fresh Mangoes and Beautiful Natural Surroundings

One of the most impressive things about this orchard is that people come here from many different places to buy fresh mangoes. During my visit, I noticed a private car parked along the roadside, and many visitors in the orchard. They were most likely there to purchase freshly harvested mangoes directly from the garden. Buying mangoes straight from the orchard gives customers confidence in the freshness and quality of the fruit.

People travel from different places to buy fresh mangoes here. During my visit, several visitors had parked their cars by the roadside before entering the orchard, probably to purchase mangoes.

I also saw one of the workers picking ripe mangoes directly from the trees for customers. This is something that makes the place even more attractive because you can choose freshly harvested mangoes instead of buying ones that have been stored for several days. Watching the mangoes being picked from the tree was an enjoyable experience in itself.

Different Varieties of Mangoes

Several popular varieties of mangoes are available in this orchard. Among them, Haribhanga, Amrapali, Mallika, and Langra are especially well known. This season, many of the trees are heavily loaded with mangoes, making the orchard look vibrant and full of life.

The Mallika mangoes especially caught my attention because of their excellent quality. They are large, clean, and attractive in appearance. From what I observed, the orchard maintains a good standard when it comes to harvesting and selling quality fruit.

This variety of mango is called Mallika. Fresh and high-quality Mallika mangoes are available here. Just look at their excellent quality—they are large, clean, and attractive.

Various mango varieties available in the orchard.

However, not every tree produced the same quality of mangoes this season. Some trees have fruits that look fine from a distance, but they are not considered suitable for sale. As a result, many of those mangoes are left unharvested and eventually fall to the ground naturally.

Some trees produced lower-quality mangoes this season. Although they look nice, they are not harvested, so many of the fruits eventually fall to the ground.

Peaceful Environment Around the Ponds

The peaceful environment is probably the biggest attraction of this orchard. There are several large ponds throughout the property, and each pond is surrounded by rows of mango trees. The reflection of the green trees on the water creates a wonderful natural landscape that immediately catches the eye.

The reflection of the mango tree on the pond and the unique Y-shaped trunk make this spot especially attractive.

A road passes through the middle of the ponds, allowing visitors to walk deeper into the orchard while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Several ponds are scattered throughout the orchard, each surrounded by rows of mango trees that make the scenery look even more beautiful and peaceful.

Since the orchard is located beside the Parbatipur–Saidpur Road, travelers can easily enjoy the beautiful view even from the roadside.

The ponds and rows of mango trees beside the Parbatipur–Saidpur Road create a beautiful roadside landscape.

I also appreciated how well the orchard is maintained. Some mango branches beside the ponds become heavy with fruit and naturally lean toward the water.

Bamboo poles support the heavy branches beside the pond and prevent them from bending into the water.

Mango Prices and Buying Information

Visitors can buy mangoes here at very reasonable prices. During my visit, I learned that ripe mangoes were being sold for BDT 30–40 per kilogram, depending on the variety and quality.

If you prefer freshly picked green mangoes, the orchard staff will harvest them directly from the tree for you. In that case, the price is BDT 50 per kilogram.

Freshly harvested mangoes are packed into plastic crates for sale and transportation.

For those purchasing mangoes in larger quantities, the orchard also provides plastic crates for packing and transportation. Each crate costs BDT 300, making it convenient for buyers who want to carry mangoes safely over long distances.

Overall, the pricing is quite reasonable, especially considering the freshness and quality of the mangoes available directly from the orchard.

My Overall Impression

Overall, I truly enjoyed visiting this mango orchard. It is much more than just a place to buy mangoes, it is also a peaceful destination where visitors can spend time close to nature.
