Assalamu Alaikum. Greetings Sri Lankan community. How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Allah, you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am also doing well. I pray to Allah that we are always doing well.

Today I want to talk to you about a wonderful topic. Basically, in the course of life, we want to achieve different things at different times. However, in this short time of life, there are many people who want to forcefully obtain our rights. Actually, nothing can be obtained by force in this world.

If you have to get something in the course of life, you must achieve it with love. We can achieve everything through love. If a person wants, he can make a dead tree bloom with love. Even if you get everything by force, it is impossible to achieve the love of a person.

Now I want to go back to the main point, about a year and a half ago, I married my cousin with love. After getting married, we had many wonderful moments in our family and I was enjoying our family very well. There was a lot of love between the two of us and we were able to make our family very sweet.

But at one point, our family started to crack. Sometimes when my wife was stubborn, I stopped trying to break her anger. When she was arrogant, I tried to break her arrogance by force.

A day would pass, two days would pass, on the third day my wife would come to me of her own accord and we would start living a loving life again as before. In this way, I continued my activities one after the other and only my wife was engaged in breaking my anger. I used to think one thing, why should I be inferior to my wife??

Then I slowly started breaking off relations with all my wife's relatives. Even though they tried to contact me, I did not try to contact them in any way. I always tried to gain their love by being arrogant and forceful. I thought, if I was arrogant towards them, then the matter might be resolved. And maybe I can forcefully gain more love from them.

But now the situation has completely changed. Where my wife used to constantly remove my anger and pride, now she does not try to break my pride anymore. Because I will be angry every day and why should she break my pride?

Moreover, I have no contact with my wife's relatives at present. At one stage, when we quarreled and our life continued like this. For about 6 to 8 months, there has been unrest in the family and we are living a lot of hardship. At one stage, when my wife went to my in-laws' house with pride, I did not stop her at all. Only because of pride and stubbornness in my mind.

But now the state of our relationship is very terrible. I have a lot of doubts about whether the relationship will survive. Because it has been almost a week since my wife went to her father's house. Till now she has not contacted me and even though I have tried to contact her, she is not contacting me. Currently their family is in a state of equality and they are not reacting in any way.

Basically we should learn from this incident. My wife constantly tries to break my anger. But when she went to her father's house with pride, I did not try to break her pride. Actually this world is a very testing place. Where it is not possible to force or keep everything under your control. To survive in the world, you must respect the pride of others. Never think only about your own position. You should try to see the mentality of others as well as your own. Why should only my wife break my anger? Sometimes if she is proud, I should also break her anger.

So I have decided now, I have to change myself drastically. Without changing myself, peace can never be restored in the world. Husband and wife complement each other. If the wife is proud, the husband will break his anger and if the husband is angry, the wife will break her anger, this is the policy of the society. Let us achieve something with love instead of forcibly achieving it. And this will be good for us.
