The shop I will be posting about today is called Bird House. This shop is located next to Saidpur Plaza in the area adjacent to Cinema Road. This shop sells various types of birds, pigeons, chickens, rabbits, animal and bird food, bird cages etc. The shop opens after 10 am and closes after 10 pm. There are two people in this shop. An owner and an employee. The owner always looks after the shop. And the employee feeds the birds and cleans the dirt and garbage created by the birds.

To go to this shop, you have to get down at Saidpur Railway Station. The shop is located 300 meters away from there. This is the bird shop of a brother I know. I often buy chickens and quails from his shop. And sometimes I go to his shop to buy food. This shop is always kept clean and tidy. In fact, birds and pigeons have to be taken care of all the time. If you are a little careless, these things can die. This will make the trader angry. So they keep the surroundings of their shop clean and tidy for a while.

This shop is not very big in size. But the shop is very old. This shop was earlier behind Plaza. Later it was shifted to Cinema Road. The owner of this shop has been running a bird shop for 20 years. He is a very inexperienced person. It takes a lot of ignorance to raise and sell all these birds and rabbits. Otherwise you will not be able to do business. I know the owner of the shop very well. He always treats the customers well. He is always smiling. And always provides good animals to the customers. There are many other bird shops in our Saidpur city. But I do not go to all the shops. All these things are very sensitive. Due to a little carelessness, a bird can die after buying it and bringing it home. There are many shopkeepers who sell sick birds or pigeons. The customer does not even realize that the bird was sick. Later, after bringing it home, after some nurturing, the bird dies. For this, it is always necessary to go to a trusted shopkeeper. Otherwise, you will have to spend money and buy a sick bird and hatch it.

This shop always has lighting. 2-3 lights are always on in the shop. This keeps the shop lit all the time. This makes the shop look attractive. The lighting system has to be kept good at all times in a bird shop. And during the summer, two-three fans are run in this shop all the time. Animals and birds cannot bear the heat. There is no place to sit in this shop. You have to stand and buy things. The shop has less space and more things in proportion. There are a few places in the shop where you can enter and see the birds.

Pigeons: We have all seen pigeons. This is a little domesticated bird. We raise pigeons at home either as a hobby or commercially. Pigeon raising is very profitable. Desi, Giribaj, Laksha, Racer pigeons are available in this shop. In addition, many other unknown pigeons are available. Pairs of pigeons are sold for 400 to 3000 tk.

Birds: Various types of birds are available in this shop. Then there are cockatiels, doves, parrots and many other types of birds. The birds are sold in pairs for 800 to 10000 tk.

Chicken: Chicken is a well-known little bird. Chicken is seen being raised more or less in every house in the village. Chicken is a source of meat and eggs. Currently, there is a huge demand for chicken meat and eggs in our country. Chickens that lay more eggs are available in this shop. Very fast-growing chickens are available. Domestic chickens take time to grow and lay 30-40 eggs a year. In comparison, advanced and foreign breed chickens lay 200-280 eggs a year. They grow up quickly. Raising these chickens is profitable. Chicken chicks are sold in this shop. Each chicken costs 20-30 tk.

Duck: Native and hybrid ducks are available in this shop. These ducks are raised at home. Duck rearing is very profitable. People of our Saidpur city love duck meat very much. The price of ducklings per piece is 30-50 tk.

Rabbit: Rabbits have now become a domesticated animal. Many restaurants serve rabbit meat as barbecue. The demand for rabbits has increased greatly. Earlier, rabbits were found in zoos. Now most homes raise rabbits either as pets or commercially. This shop sells small and large rabbits of white and brown colors. Each pair of rabbits is sold for 1000-2000 tk.
