The diary game 9/3/26; A day for family visit and gifts

My alarm rang by 5am and 6am only to meet the stop button from me. I’d rather say that I was intoxicated with sleep. Still trying to recover from the roller coaster or week I had last week.

Enroute my siblings houses

The next alarm by 6:50 am had me out of bed. I sat up and had to brace myself to join our NSPPD prayer by 7am. I was still feeling sleepy but discipline was required here. I went to the toilet eased myself and came back and sat down and joined the prayer. It was a fervent time of prayer. Just what I needed for the morning.

After listening to the testimonies, I was greatly encouraged and just then I had to start preparing to go see my brother and his family. The night before, my sister inlaw had called in to say that one of the twins was running temperature and they were at the hospital by past ten in the night. We had time to pray for them as a family during our family prayer time the night before.

I took my bath, brushed my teeth and headed to the bus stop bearing gifts. I got a 25kg bag of rice as a gift from our company as an incentive. I decided to gift it to my elder brother and his family. I also took some clothes I bought for my younger sister along. She has added some weight and most of her clothes are no longer her size.

My friend helped me carry the bag of rice to the bus stop where I took a bus to another bus stop. I boarded a bus and as the driver wanted to move, he noticed a fault with the bus. When they opened the boot, smoke was coming out of it. We had to alight and enter another bus and soonest was on my way.

There was a hike in fuel price again and the price of transportation will soon be on the hike. Some drivers have already increased their fare while some are still taking the normal price. They said the death of the Iranian president is causing global economic crisis that is leading to fuel hike.

Some filling stations have locked up their stations and are not selling fuel. The drivers were saying that they are trying to create scarcity so that they can hike the price of fuel more. What a Situation! We are going through a lot in this country but no matter how bad it is, we must survive. I must survive.

My Brothers residence

I got to my brother’s residence. I called his wife and they came and opened the gate for me. The house help helped me carry the rice inside while I took the nylon with the clothes for my sister. When I came in, I saw my elder brother sitting in the living room. I hugged him and greeted him. He asked why I came and I told him I came to visit and drop off the bag of rice for them.

I went into the living room and my sister inlaw was on the phone with my mum. They spoke briefly and I greeted her also. The twins were asleep while my nieces have left for school. It was almost noon. I spent some time talking with my sister inlaw. Soonest the twins woke up and we played a little. I helped to remove the diaper from one of them as it was already soaked.

In the split seconds of leaving her bare buttocks, she pooed on her self and on the floor. It was a messy site. We didn’t even know as the room was dark. She was trying to climb the bed when I started perceiving the poo. The mum put on the light to see the entire floor messed up. We had to start cleaning up. Her body the bed and floor. Raising kids can be a lot. The mum said she wants to start doing pouty training for them so that they can learn how to use their Poe when they want to poo.

Soonest I had to excuse myself and went to visit my younger sister who was staying with my younger brother. Around the same neighborhood but in a different street. I called her to come and open the gate for me on arrival. She was suprised to see me. I went in and gave her the clothes. She tried them on and they were her size. She actually liked them and thanked me. I told as glad to do my big sister duties.

I spent sometime with her and my younger brothers wife gisting. The weather was so hot and there hasn’t been light. I couldn’t really get a good picture view with them because they weren’t well clad due to the heat. We gisted for a while and they served me food to eat. After eating, I rested a little while flossing my teeth with a dental floss.

After the gist, I had to take my leave. The journey back home is kinda far. When I got to the bus stop, there was no vehicle going to my direction. I stood at the bus stop for a while to no avail. I had to decide to take a different route.

No bus was going my way

The journey was kinda tedious as there was serious traffick on the road. Everywhere was jammed. I was wondering what was the cause only to find out that some road safety officials were on the road and they caused the traffic jam. After the delay, the road was clear and we continued with our journey. It took me close to two hours to get home.

On the way home, I saw a woman selling cherry along the road. It looked sweet and I stopped by the road side to buy some which I eventually ate when I got home.

By the time I got home, I was knackered and my eyes were begging for some sleep. I laid down to sleep while charging my phone cos my battery was already low. I slept for two hours but the sleep was a bit restless because of the heat. I was sweating in sleep. I got up later when the heat woke me up. It was already evening and my stomach was protesting for food.

I laid down to attend to some notifications from my phone. At about 8pm, my friend came back and came to my room. She was hungery. I joined her in the kitchen as we prepared dinner. We ate vegetables soup and swallow. She retired to her room and I went to continue the night.

Diner calls

I had sometime shuffling through my blog, had my bath and then joined an online meeting on WhatsApp by past 10pm. After the meeting, I breezed in to tell us about the good day I had. I was glad that I could be of assistance to my elder brother and my younger sister. Family are the best and we should love and support each other as much as we can always.
