A Mysterious Story

I appreciate @cruzamilcar63 for such interesting contest and would love to share my thoughts.
In the dead of the night, Shaw was in the woods, fear stuck and teeth chattering in fear. He didn't believe what had happened to him. He could see visible shadows moving around him. It must have been an dream but no, he was not. This was one of those nights. He had a blissful day after celebrating his sister's birthday with the family.
Moreso, he was the only son of the Andres. He was a growing child, introverted and indeed padlocked in his thoughts of wonder for magic! He believed magic never existed and would insult any magician pulling tricks for the crowd. He would shout deceiver! He is cheating but we can't just see it! It got so intimidating to much magicians and dark sorcerers around Riverdale.
Perhaps, we would show him one of our true tricks, they connived. On this faithful day he had a lot of food after his sisters birthday. He couldn't help eating to his full. This caused little nauseating for him which he was so obvious too. He couldn't stop stooling. Later that evening around 8pm. He came out the balcony looking into the woods. He saw flash of little light blinking in the woods and wanted to know what it was.
He hungrily walked into the woods not knowing he was walking into the fangs of death. He got close eventually and saw the red giant candle almost burning off. He walked into a sacrament. Before him was a big scary statue, as he locked eyes with it. He was hypnotized, he couldn't move at all, he fell dizzy and dropped like a log!

He woke up seeing himself hung on a rope with pain he squealed like a wounded rabbit but it was already late. The deep dark sorcerers were in their chants. He raised his brows in bewilderment. Indeed he believed in the myth that dark magic exists. Did he live to testify of what he saw? Or was he drowned in the fangs of death!

Hey @daprado1999, this is some captivating storytelling! The setup is fantastic – a skeptic lured into the woods, facing the very magic he denied. The descriptions are vivid ("padlocked in his thoughts," "fangs of death") and really paint a picture. I especially liked the touch of irony with Shaw being drawn in after his sister's birthday celebration. The cliffhanger ending is perfect for a mystery contest! What happened to Shaw? I'm eager to see if you expand this into a longer piece. Keep writing; your creativity shines! I'm resteeming this for visibility!
Thanks for such brief review! I'm glad I entertained you guys. I'll definitely do more subsequently. Once again I appreciate your remarks.
