The Global Crisis: What Is Really Coming?

We are all a bit worried – the world is less certain than some years ago. We read the newspaper and we read: war, crisis economics, global warming, political crisis, disease, disaster, technology and social crisis. And, apocalypse also: aliens, covid, pestilences, monstrous earthquakes, theory of religions, and this is the real 1 – can move on to a different world somehow.

But what do I think is coming?

I am not aware of any person who can really tell you what the future will be. I mean if you take the example of history, and all the types of crises we have had, I am sure that along history there has been someone saying that it will be what happened yesterday, and on this date. The thing for me is not one specific thing.

Imagine if economic free fall was coinciding with climate crisis, with war, with disinformation, with disease and with an increase in demand on our food and water supply. It all does that to one another. That's what is so frightening about the phrase 'the global crisis'.

But I am not sure we need to keep doing that.

If I were to get ready for an uncertain future I would do things that might be helpful anyway: I would prefer to have some savings, learn some useful skills, gather some important documents, maintain good health, establish the basis of my relationships with my family and friends and learn to discriminate between knowledge and speculation.

Another thing I was equipped to do was become more involved in my community. I think that in a real crisis, money and technology are not very useful if you do not have other people that you are working with. A community of involved people, both concerned and concerned, would be a huge resource for help, information, comfort, food, and shelter.

I also think that climate change and the destruction of our environment is something that we should be concerned about as well. We shouldn't have to wait until the earth is destroyed, to realize that we are going to have to save it. We don't need the earth to be perfect in order for us to survive, but we can make things a lot tougher on it.

And The End of Days, The Aliens, The New Matrix, Or Whatever Else Is Coming Next? So I try to stay open to these kinds of things. I try to keep my eyes open and my mind open but I also try to stay skeptical and not get caught up in too much of any one thing, and maybe we're all about to have a wild ride… or not.

My final thought is the future is unknown but "uncertainty" is not "hopeless".

Instead of scorching ourselves by speculating which we'll get next, perhaps we need to ready ourselves to be flexible, wise, kind and resilient.

The most important preparation may be not a well-stocked bunker or comprehensive emergency kit. It could be in becoming the kinds of people who will be able to remain calm and rational, support each other, and adapt when the chips are down.
