I had pictured that it would be an ordinary day, of such that leave no trace. It had set on foot the usual rush - late alarm, no breakfast, and the dull grey sky which had the tendency of making everything appear to go more slowly than it did. Nothing unusual seemed to be on hand before me.

Back at school all of them seemed to have something to hide. My friends were whispering to each other, and laughing, but stopped as soon as I was anywhere within hearing distance of them. I believed that it is another inside joke that I had not participated in, and to be honest, I did not give a lot of attention to it. Lessons followed one another dragging and with every minute the lesson appeared to extend.

I was too tired to see the end of the tunnel when the last bell was rung, and I was fed up with the day. However, as I went near the gate my best friend pulled me with the arm and told me I should go a short distance with her. I snivelled and acquiesced, as I imagined it was something not worth mentioning, and I ought to have done without it.

She took me to the auditorium building that was vacant. The lights were turned off and sometimes I believed that it was a joke. and that was all different, all of a sudden.

The lights flicked on.

"Surprise!"

The room burst into cheers. Some of my relatives, teachers and classmates, were looking at me smiling. Balloons that were near the ceiling and a banner bearing my name was hung over the stage. I was standing confusedly still.

I hadn't expected any of it. I had forgotten that it was a special day, my little achievement, something that I thought nobody even listened to. But here was the company all, and they were making merry of me.

I barely had time to check that the water was flowing in my eyes. It is not due to the decorations and sound but the thought behind it. It was the period when I felt that I was very visible even when I was not visible.

Afternoons were devoted to laughter, taking photos and narratives. This was easy, yet remarkable.

That was not the only day that passed. It has changed my attitude towards the people around me- and me. And yet I still remember that time when life is silent or faceless and smile.

I also learned that the best things happen when you are least expecting and that you are more important than you believe and that there are people there who may stay unnoticed all the time, who are interested in you.

Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @aviral123, @m-fdo and @bela90 to participate.
