Sign-up is on lock down. Is it possible to allow current Steem users to invite other people to the platform?
Right now people cannot create new accounts on Steemit. However the sign up page says that they can if it is by invite only.
Is it possible to give current Steem users the ability to invite potentially new, high content creators to the Steemit platform?
So account creation won't be open to everyone, it'll just be open to people who get invited by people who already have created accounts? I think that is good compromise to grow the Steemit user base at a slower rate than having it open to everyone, and prevent stagnation.
Can we make that happen?
It'd be cool if people could accumulate a value every day, or possibly based upon activity that when it accumulates enough they get the ability to issue an invite. This would reset their counter. This would make it so people that were really active on the site could bring in more people.
