Certainly an interesting development; "attention" from any kind of major player is usually a good thing. Simply the fact that Steem is being considered adds a layer of legitimacy in the mind of the broader market... a sort of "coolness by association."

Of course, if Steem becomes included in their custodian accounts, it's a short step to people pushing for Steem to be part of the Coinbase exchange.
