I don't really know what steem inc and ned are trying to achieve. But i just keep all my options open.
I've signed up at weku and whaleshares.io and moving some of my content there. Plus i watch what's going on here at steemit and take action where necessary.
Plus hopefully you'll have your fork up and running soon.
