The reward goes down because of the fluctuations of the Steem cryptocurrency.
The dollar amount is an estimate of how much Steem is worth in $. Currently it goes down because we are in a bear market.
No need to worry though. You will receive the same amount you saw in the beginning, and the Steem will most definitely rebound.
