Our expenses this month, and we still work hard enough for life in our beloved country🫶
Hello everyone, good morning. Today, I'd like to share our monthly expenses for our work as a sales promotion agent assigned to Kelantan, Malaysia. Today, I'll share more details about our expenses.
Today, my colleagues and I at work are very interested in sharing our monthly expenses. This includes our housing costs, such as a guesthouse (also known as an apartment), as well as electricity and internet (WiFi) costs, which are covered by our company at the headquarters. However, we will note our monthly electricity and housing costs. Our electricity, Wi-Fi, and housing costs are covered by our company.
We were 25 people from Johor, Malaysia, who were assigned and transferred to work in the Kelantan region. All of us, including myself, were Malaysian. However, each group lived in different locations, depending on their jobs. Some lived in rural Kelantan, some in Sarawak, and some in Kota Tua. But we all had the same goal.
We lived in a guesthouse or apartment in a rural Kelantan town. We shared a common work environment with 10 other colleagues. The apartment we found was quite comfortable, with electricity, Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It was spacious and had several bedrooms and a living room. The rest of our group lived in apartments in Kota Kelantan, Sarawak, and Kota Tua.
The main point is how much we need to spend each month on necessities. I'll also provide information on our expenses, along with those of my colleagues, and the costs actively covered by our employer. Today, I'm sharing this month's spending data.
Monthly rental of residence (Apartment) 972 RM - $237 USD (Cost covered by our job center)
The company also provides a Wi-Fi network for us personally, and our work center covers electricity and other expenses. The monthly electricity and Wi-Fi costs for us are approximately RM540 - USD132 (covered by our work center).
And these are my personal expenses, living in a guesthouse/apartment in Kelantan with my coworkers. Especially since the prices of my belongings have skyrocketed recently.
- My monthly expenses, I usually make breakfast at our residence every morning, and in the afternoon and evening, I usually eat out because I am sometimes busy with work. This month's expenses are not far from the monthly expenses I spent when I was still working in Johor, because in Johor I can save a little money because my mother has provided food while in Johor. And this month I spend around 700 RM - $ 171 USD for my needs.
And a few days ago, my coworkers and I pooled our money to buy our monthly food supplies, such as rice, vegetables, and other necessities, for our monthly supply. In a previous post, I also talked about shopping because prices in Malaysia have skyrocketed. The total yesterday reached 460 USD, as rice prices are sky-high compared to current vegetable prices.
I also just repaired a laptop, and this laptop was from my mother when she was young, but the results were not good🤣💫.
And that's how detailed I am in providing this information. But I am very proud to be a Malaysian, as Malaysia's regulations are now much stricter. Our presidential ministers are continuing to tighten their oversight to prevent foreigners from playing pranks in my beloved country.
And if you are on vacation to my beloved country, now the latest is very difficult to arrange a Visa or permit that is already expensive, because the permit is limited to once every 3 months for you to renew it, and the Visa is only a one-month period with the price being many times higher to process it. So for you to vacation of course spend a lot of money, Especially hotel rentals, and electricity costs or the like, And also needs in one month and also payment for permits every three months and visas once a month.
Moreover, hotels and apartments in urban or rural areas depend on the hotel. We, from their work side, look for the cheapest apartment for us to stay in. Moreover, apartments with air conditioning are definitely double or triple the price.
