A great year for crypto currencies is soon over. I joined the crypto community a year ago and gained precious experiences.

Despite new challenges and criticism I personally believe that 2018 will be a good year for crypto currencies. But it will be also the year of a great crypto battle. Some currencies might not survive this fight and new heroes will be born.

The market will be more diverse as new institutional investors enter the stage. The bitcoin futures, the Goldman’s of Wall Street and hedge funds are only some of the new joiners. Central banks and regulators globally are preparing new rules for ICOs and the crypto market. First crackdowns should occur in the first half of 2018. This might be also positive since it will make it harder for scams and those who want to fool investors and steal their money.

Investors should be more careful and selective in 2018. Gaining just blindly buy betting on almost anycoin will not work that easy in my view.

Volatility will be even higher than in 2017.

Ripple should remain on the top 5 list as it is being tested by conventional banking.

Well, bitcoin? 2018 will be the year of destiny for the digital gold. It will either collaps and rush towards the zero line or stand up and gain more and more. The resistance is fiercer than ever and there are more enemies united against the mother of crypto currencies.

Ethereum should be among the winners. Don’t forget that many ICOs and VC engagements are handled in ETH.

Monero and Litecoin will also continue their race but with longer pit stops.

IOTA is still very promising. Despite the Microsoft miscommunication IOTA will continue cooperations with major tech and industry companies and produce convincing results. It is worth being patient.

Well Steem will also continue its growth but there should be more developments. Functionalities should be more UX friendly. This should be not that difficult. And the user numbers must rise. Probably more marketing is needed. Perhaps a parallel ICO or other fundings could accelerate growth. Steem is still a niche.

Stratis is a good story too. These guys have a good product but again the customer ultimately decides. Well, go and get them.
