The No Jab, No Work Policy Is A Fallacy
There were rumors flying around in the Philippines that un-vaccinated individuals were not allowed to work or find work. But after looking around I found that the rumor was false and it was illegal to stop people not yet vaccinated with the vaccine from working or finding work.
Translation:
REMINDED FOR THE NO VACCINE, NO WORK POLICY (August 05, 2021)
The "No Vaccine, No Work" policy is ILLEGAL.
According to DOLE Advisory No. 03 Series of 2021, employer could persuade their employees to take the vaccine but any employee that refuses or has yet to take the vaccine should never be discriminated in his or her place of work.
Moreover, the Republic Act 11525 states that the vaccine card should not be included as a requirement when looking for employment.
So if you're an un-vaccinated Filipino and you're experiencing discrimination at work because of it, you can report your employer to the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole). Hopefully, this will clear things up.
