Not to mention Bitcoin is close to it's limit physical of 3-4 transactions per second(in theory 7), while steem is able to handle way more than what currently does. BitShares and EOS have similar capabilities.
This is IMHO the biggest advantage of EOS over ETH.
From what I'm reading, ETH in comparision to EOS is a snail. Perhaps this has made Vitalik critical or dismissive of EOS.
