Steemit Update [Nov 18th, 2022]: Community Curators for December - Applications Open
We hope you are all enjoying another month of the Community Curators.
From what we have observed the teams of seven seem to be working well and Team Millionaire continues to do a great job in supporting and encouraging contests on the platform.
We will therefore be keeping both of these in December.
So if you would like to have a chance of being selected for a Community Curation team for next month now is the time to make your application.
The Community Curators for December
For December we are again inviting individuals to apply if they would like to be Community Curators.
From the individual applications we will select six teams.
Assuming sufficient suitable people apply the teams will each have seven members.
Again there will be no specific themes allocated for each team - except Team Millionaire.
Instead all teams will be free to vote on posts on any subject.
We also want teams to look beyond communities. There are many good posts that are outside of any communities - just directly on people’s personal blogs.
Teams should seek these out.
We hope by dropping themes and tags it will reduce the rather obvious tag content farming. There has been a considerable quantity of poor quality, often spun or plagiarized posts appearing over the last few months produced solely to chase votes from the Community Curators.
The Curation Teams in December should again allocate a portion of their voting power for voting on the best comments.
High quality relevant comments add extra richness to the Steem blogging ecosystem.
Good comments can be as interesting and as valuable as good posts.
We want good comments to be encouraged and rewarded.
How to Apply as a Community Curator
If you would like to be considered as a Community Curator you should make a post including…
A brief summary of your history on Steem.
Details of any positions of responsibility you have held on Steem.
Details of specialist or professional skills or expertise you have in ‘real life’.
What country you live in and what languages you can read fluently.
Your key stats - own SP, CSI, Reputation, Delegations.
Any subjects you particularly enjoy curating.
To apply to become a Community Curator you must have a reputation of at least 69 and you must have at least 4500 SP of your own (not delegated to you).
Previously selected Community Curators are welcome to apply again for December.
Keep posts brief and easy to follow. Include the tag #curatorapplication in the first four tags.
Applications can be made in any language.
Posts should be submitted by 11.59pm UTC, on Friday, November 25th, 2022.
How Community Curators will be rewarded
Every day the teams will be allowed to allocate one full vote to a member’s post - ideally in rotation. If a team has less than seven members, members can potentially receive more than one vote per week.
In total no more than 10% of the account’s voting power should be used on team members each week.
Additionally each week one member should post a report for the team in the Steem POD community with a list of their top 7 posts, with a brief note of why each post was chosen.
These posts should set beneficiaries to share the rewards with other members of the team.
The posts will be voted by @steemcurator01.

We hope the new arrangements will again encourage many more people to apply to become Community Curators.
The selections for the Curation Teams will be announced by the end of the month, with a view to starting at the beginning of December.

I'm surprised! Curators rarely enter the @steemit-family, @street.contest, RU Steam communities. It would be more correct to say that they do not come in at all, do not notice the authors and do not support them.
I will support the author! I am the founder of the @SteemFamily community. For some time now, we have lost booming support, the only support that has been available since February of this year. Major curators have not visited us for a long time, almost a year. Having lost the only booming support, the community barely survives.
Not a single answer was received to my numerous questions. Yes, I understand that no one owes anyone anything here, but why do political motives play such a huge role in the stimit blockchain? The cryptocurrency world is decentralized, but it turns out that here management takes place in manual mode, when they support some and humiliate others.
How will the platform develop if the authors of high-quality posts are ignored on a regular basis?
You can try to apply for curator post and who knows if you are selected then it is good for your community.

The comment I'm looking for right now, I'm afraid this is also the center, anyway, I think you guys understand me. I see a lot of bounty hunters and a community formed around them on steemit.
If we avoid such events, maybe we have seen many good content writers and we will support them as well. I think we can get through this, steem on.

All the members are supported by maintaining great rules and regulations, I really appreciate it. When my reputation is 69 I will definitely join the curator team.
