What Do You Guys Think, Will There Be a Post Justin Sun Steem?

Hey Steemians,

Just popped over to see what the mood is over here. Are the nodes still running? Does the community think there will be life after Justin Sun?

Sort:

My guess is that not much will change in the short term. Since the split he has been pretty hands off anyway, and any bold moves would probably only hurt the price. It was never clear to me whether Justin Sun bought Steemit Inc. as an individual or whether one of the orgs he controls did, but either way is there any reason to rock the boat when they could just let things keep going as they have been in the hope of eventually making a profit?

I agree with @danmaruschak. Aside from connecting to TRX rewards, JS has seemed pretty-much like a non-factor for the last 20 months, so I don't expect much to change in the short term.

Longer term, his departure could be good, could be bad, or could be neutral. I don't really have enough knowledge to have a strong opinion, but if I were forced to guess, I'd guess "neutral to slightly positive". If developers were paralyzed waiting to see what the Tron Foundation would do, this might spur them to action.

Uncertainty in the crypto markets, who would believe it? ;-)

I can't see more developments to come. But I only saw a little support given by Steemit in growing the price of Steem, I also saw the support they did for only a few of my people, who have unclear programs.

I try to remain optimistic. It's in the hands of this community and the current Steemit team, but I will gladly continue to use Steem over Hive simply because of what happened and because I still think it can succeed, but I'm happy to see so much is going well for y'all on the other side of the pond (also glad I kept my steem monster cards xD)

STEEM is as bullish as BTC pricewise @whatsup. There are developers supporting this platform.
