Learning new skill in preparation for the future: 26/06/2026

Hello everyone, I'm artist @edysly, a proud steemian.
Today, I'm sharing one of the bold step I took to secure my future. The economic of my state is not stable, and as such must look for alternative in case after graduating and government work isn't fast approaching, I can still survive better and live my life to the fullest.

My first sewing was impressive. I sewn this skirt I'm wearing just in one week of starting my partime training.

The step I took was to learn another skill. Apart from being an artist, I also have passion for sewing. Making a beautiful dress to people satisfaction has always been my honest dream. I want to become a well known fashion designer in the industry. Alot of people are so impressed of this step I took, in their thoughts, I'm going to be a creative designer, because I will deploy my artistic style better.

I have been saving little amount of money for a long time. I just needed to use it and pay for my fashion and designing training. You know, the future must be put into consideration. Planning well for the future is fulfilling and satisfying. The economic is not stable, and so I must think of a better way to stand my ground and help myself and family now and after my studies if a better job offer is not knocking. I don't believe in dependent lifestyle rather, being independent and strive successfully makes me happy and proud of my hardwork.

I'm basically doing taking care of three things at the moment. Firstly, being an active student. I don't stay away from school despite any circumstances. Secondly, I'm learning a trade ( fashion and designing) and lastly, my side hustle( doing tutorial for primary school child). This has been one of my utmost expectation at the end of every month. Being paid a token every end of the month helps me take care of things. Doing this three things at the same time isn't an easy task, but its worth it because the future is important. After today, every humans would face the future. And so, how one lays his or her bed is actually how they're going to lie on it.
