The Stress of Processing Garri (3rd Jan, 2026)
Hello everyone. I'm @edysly
It is said that, there is no food for lazy man. I have in mind to harvest this cassava and process it to garri for one month now. But school Stress won't let me settled and process it. This faithful morning, I woke up and pray to my life Giver and marker. I didn't want to delay much time, so I suspended sweeping the house that early morning and hurriedly went to the farm to start harvesting the cassava. It was indeed difficult to uproot the cassava from the soil because the ground is too hard due to this dry season. I tried to uproot with machete, but it was not forthcoming, I rushed to my neighbor's house and requested her to help me with her spade. That's what help in making it easier for me. This drained so much of my energy. Thankfully, I harvested to the amount I needed.
The next was to peel it. I got back from where I attended a function and rested with the cassava to finish it at all cost. After peeling it, I proceeded to grinding it. I couldn't see anyone to borrow a wheelbarrow from, and the only option was to rest the bag of cassava on my head and trekked to the processing mill. I finished grinding and it was left there to be pressed for it to dry. I left afterwards to the house and rest.
After coming back from school, I stopped by the mill to pick my garri. I headed to buy firewood. After eating, I started sieving the garri. This took along time to finish this, but I managed to.

The. Final stage was the frying of my garri. The fire dealt with me but I couldn't help than to continue. The garri I processed was the best ever. I sipped and swallowed the garri that very night. Farming is good, this has really save me now
