HOW TO MAKE LIQUID SOAP STEP BY STEP: A SMALL BUSINESS IDEA

Liquid soap is a household product used daily for washing clothes, dishes, hands, and cleaning surfaces. I became interested in liquid soap production because it is a simple business anyone can start with small capital. I purchased all my soap materials from Eniong Street along Uyo Old Market by Plaza, where different soap-making items are available at affordable prices.

• Caustic soda
• Soda ash
• Sulphonic acid
• Texapon
• STPP
• Perfume
• Colorant
• Preservative
• Water
• Bucket
• Stirring stick
• Hand gloves

Step 1: Prepare Caustic Soda Solution

Dissolve a small quantity of caustic soda in water and allow it to cool for some hours.

Step 2: Prepare Soda Ash Solution

Mix soda ash in water inside another container and stir well until it dissolves.

Step 3: Add Water

Pour enough water into a large bucket.

Step 4: Add Sulphonic Acid

Gradually pour sulphonic acid into the water while stirring continuously.

Step 5: Add Texapon

Add texapon and continue stirring until it mixes properly.

Step 6: Add STPP

Pour the dissolved STPP into the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 7: Add Caustic Soda Solution

Add the cooled caustic soda solution little by little while stirring.

Step 8: Add Soda Ash Solution

Pour the soda ash solution into the mixture and stir very well.

Step 9: Add Color and Perfume

Add your desired color and perfume for a pleasant smell and attractive appearance.

Step 10: Leave to Settle

Allow the liquid soap to stay for 12 to 24 hours so it can thicken properly.
